ABOUT DESIGNER LYNDA LEE

"I have thoroughly enjoyed a career focused on creating award winning marketing, and now that I'm semi retired down in Devon in the UK, it's time to connect with, and unleash my abstract artist within. Wish me luck! But just know, I will never give up web design."  Lynda Lee - Web Designer & Budding Artist

Lynda Lee

Lynda started her working career in the ANZ Bank in Hawkes Bay New Zealand, travelled and worked in Europe and once her children were at school created NZ's first farm based rural employment agency.

Within three years Central Employment had grown to 3 branches at which point Lynda sold the business and along with her husband and three children moved to Cambridge NZ where Lynda sold real estate on and off for a number of years.

Lynda fulfilled a bucket list dream and created her first retail store in the early 90's, which sold after only being open for 5 months! Lynda then went on to import Dutch Colonial furniture from Indonesia and retailed this from her designer store VIRTUS in Cambridge.

Early 2000 while living in Europe Lynda discovered her love of computers. Combined with her passion for architecture, design and marketing, she attended Farnham Art & Design University in the South of England, where quickly her intuitive skills for presentation shone through, and Dezign Scene magazine was born and created to present her course assignments.

Lynda returned to the Waikato in 2005 from the UK to become a grandmother, registered Dezignscene Ltd and worked from home designing and building websites for clients throughout New Zealand, whilst also operating her home based Bed and Breakfast.

In 2013 Lynda had a calling to go back to real estate, this time in Hamilton and the timing could not have been more perfect. Lynda listed and sold property throughout the boom that started in 2014, and topped many sales and marketing awards for her clients and company alike until 2022.

Covid changed everything, so Lynda then embarked on travelling around New Zealand in her 7.5m Burstner motorhome for the next 3 years. Then last year being February 2025, a friend from the UK holidayed out to New Zealand to venture around with Lynda in her motorhome ... this journey had a profound effect on Lynda, and sparked her long held desire to return again to the country of her fathers roots, England, and in particular Devon.

"Now's the time to combine and continue all of my passions; property, business, interior design, web design, art & design in general, and, the long held-back unleashing of my abstract artist within. Exciting times ahead." Lynda Lee
